We offer seven colors: Black, Charcoal, Light Grey, Dark Chocolate Brown, Light Brown, Burgundy, Royal Blue.
What Materials Are Used?
We use 18oz vinyl-coated polyester that is designed not to crack in cold temperatures down to -40 degrees. The Velcro, zippers, and thread are all designed for outdoor use and UV exposure. Our channel is made of extruded aluminum. All accessory hardware is stainless steel.
How Long Will it Take to Get My RV Skirt?
The main factors that affect the timeline are:
Location: Long-distance work requires lengthy drives between numerous jobs. We also prioritize our local customers and those who have driven to visit us.
Season: Fall brings shorter days, more inclement weather, and a drastic increase in order volume, which makes turnaround times longer.
We can build you a skirt in a few days if you stay at our RV park “Black Hawk Creek RV Park & Cabins“. Conversely, an order placed in North Dakota in October will take 4 to 8 weeks to fulfill. Each order is made specifically for your RV.
How Do I Schedule An Appointment?
We ask all customers to fill out our quote form in order to efficiently communicate the necessary information. After that, give us a call and we’ll get you on the schedule! We can offer appointments any time at our campground. For on-site skirting, approximate dates are all we can offer due to the variables involved.
As of 2017, our RV Skirting contains no button snaps, no turnbuckles, and no unprotected holes in your RV. The perimeter of the skirt is 99% sealed off to the RV, without the air gaps found on button snap skirting.
Is Your Skirting Insulated?
Our vinyl skirting is not insulated, but the dead air space is one of the best insulators available, and nothing will trap air under your RV like our skirting. Customers with four-season RVs will find that the heating and insulation built into the belly of their rig work far better with our skirting installed. Many RVers will keep a small space heater under the RV for the coldest nights.
Is Your Skirting Portable?
Our skirting is crafted with a user-friendly design that allows you to pack up and take with you on your next adventure. Each skirt comes in a transportation bag and weighs 70-100lbs.
How Should I Clean My Skirt?
We recommend warm soapy water, no pressure washers, and letting it air dry completely before using.
Where Do You Travel for RV Skirting Installation?
Our customers who come to us will always have the best experience. If that’s not a possibility for you, we will come to: Western ND, Eastern WY, Front Range, CO, and NW Iowa (pending enough deposits).
How Do You Hold The Skirt To The Ground?
All of our skirting comes with tarp clips and galvanized spikes. For hard or very soft surfaces, we recommend water weights or sandbags. We will provide replacement clips and spikes, just pay shipping.
How Do You Handle Fifth Wheel RV Skirting?
Two designs are used around the 5th wheel hitch. Whenever possible, we’ll create a pleated panel that drapes out over the hitch. Sometimes the RV design requires having the hitch “poke through” the front of the skirt. In 2023 we introduced a panel just for Air-Ride setups.
When Is The Best Time To Order?
Before your pipes freeze (September/October). Things get extremely busy for us in September and October when temperatures drop below freezing at night. Customers who visit our RV park or call early will always have the best experiences. Those waiting until fall to order will face lengthy and uncertain turnaround times.
